The Sanctuary of the Madonna del Carmine in Sassano is a place of worship deeply rooted in the popular devotion of the Vallo di Diano region.
It features a simple façade, typical of churches integrated into the local urban and historical fabric, devoid of excessive architectural flourishes yet well integrated into the skyline of the city center. The interior consists of a single main nave, a secluded space where the faithful gather in prayer.
It houses the venerated statue of the Madonna del Carmine, which is solemnly celebrated in mid-July.
